Offering audio-visual learning opportunities is one of Nuku’s core values.
Our beloved Nuku Bags have finally returned. It’s been such a joy to see so many of you out and about with them, whether at school, the market, work, or on your travels. To mark the moment, we have introduced a brand new design that proudly highlights our Center for Photographic Research and Practice in Tamale.
Nuku Studio is proud to announce that we are now part of the Google Arts & Culture platform! Alongside an incredible collection of organisations, institutions, and initiatives across the continent, our page officially launched a few days ago in celebration of Africa Day.
In the exhibition Home Through Participation, five artists of the AKUTSO Collective open up their personal stories of home — not as a fixed place, but as something alive, shaped by people, memories, and everyday actions.
The Kayanmata exhibition is the result of a collaborative research project between photographer Fibi Afloe (Nuku Studio, Ghana) and anthropologist Ann Cassiman (University of Leuven, Belgium), documenting the uses, meanings, and moral conversations surrounding kayanmata in Nima, one of Accra’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
